2. Choose the right theme
If it's fun you're looking for then you will be able to really go to town with fancy dress and all the trimmings, however if you are looking to create a more classic and somber party mood then you could opt for black tie party and a classy theme to compliment it.

Compliment these with lighting to emphasise and dramatise the objects and frame with draping to provide the right canvas and these objects will really shine.
